Climate change mitigation
Restored woodland, peatland and wetland store carbon for centuries.
When you host with Hostwoody, a tenth of what you pay is donated to Scotland: The Big Picture, a charity working to bring nature back across Scotland’s landscapes.
Hostwoody began donating under Sky Web Ltd, our former UK company, through a Commercial Participation Agreement with Scotland: The Big Picture. The UK company was closed in 2026 when the business moved to India.
Sky Web, our company in Rajasthan, India, continues the commitment to donate 10% of sales to rewilding in Scotland. The total below includes donations made by both companies.
Rewilding is a progressive approach to conservation. Instead of managing land intensively, it restores ecosystems and reduces human intervention so that natural processes — woodland regeneration, healthy rivers, returning wildlife — can shape land and sea again.
Scotland: The Big Picture works to build support for rewilding across Scotland, connecting landowners, communities and funders to create space for nature at scale.

Mixed native habitats bring back birds, insects and mammals that intensively managed land can’t support.
Natural vegetation filters water as it moves through the landscape.
Healthy uplands slow water down and hold soil in place, easing flooding downstream.
Nature-based tourism and land management create long-term rural work.
Yes. We committed to donating 10% of sales to Scotland: The Big Picture under Sky Web Ltd, our former UK company, through a Commercial Participation Agreement. Since that company closed in 2026, Sky Web in India has continued the same 10% commitment.
Hostwoody was originally run by Sky Web Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16088260). Because the founder lives in India, the UK company was closed in 2026 and Hostwoody is now run by Sky Web in Rajasthan, India. Hosting, support and the donation commitment continue as before.
No. Our hosting already runs on renewable energy. The donation funds habitat restoration — direct action for nature rather than an offset certificate.
The figure shown is the total we have donated to date and is updated as further donations are made.
